Ever since the first disabled doctor on primetime TV in 1995, we have seen doctors with disabilities make a sparse but noticeable appearance in television. With the small screen being present and watched in every household, it informs a large part of the pubkic imagination of how disabled doctors are seen or not seen and treated. Even though the representation of disabled doctors have improved immensely over the years, there is still alot of progress to be made for disabled doctors to be well rounded characters on television.
